Concert trip to Lūznava

Today is saturday, the 10th of March. We are invited to Lūznava manor to hear the classic concert of Ian Maksin. Lūznava is not far from Rēzekne. We went there by car.
The concert will take place in Lūznava manor/Lūznava.
This manor is very old and has very rich history. It was built in the early 20th century as a place for art and music. Over the decades it experienced historic change, becoming a school, military headquarters, then school again, parish administration and library. At last in 2015 reborn anew to inspire and become a true home for MUSE.

First steps in Rēzekne...

Hey hello!!! With you are Jesus and Robert. The volunteers that are in Rēzekne/Latvia.
Today we were free, so we decided to go for a walk to get to know the town.
We worn warm clothes because it was cold outside and went out.

First we visited the monument "United for Latvia" and made some photos...

Already experienced  guy in                                                                                                                              winter Rēzekne :)

In the same place where situated the monument "United for Latvia" we saw very beautiful church.⛪️

We continue our journey, and our next station was the ruins of the ancient castle.🏰
We made some funny pictures and videos there.

Our next station was GORS. One of the more interesting places of Rezekne.

Our celebrating of March 8 in Rezekne

Today was the 8 of March, international women's day. So I woke up today at 08:00 o'clock, and Jesus after one and a half hour if I am not mistaken. After having breakfast I started to send the congratulations to the girls that I know.  After couple of hours we decided to go to the supermarket and buy some chocolate as a gift for the 8 of March. As we thought that giving flowers is not convenient and practic, because they will spoil after a couple of days. So we bought chocolate for our girl (meitene) mentors, and 2 more chocolates for the girls that we will meet in the street. The same day we had been invited to the concert in Joriks. So we took our chocolates and went to the concert. On our way to Joriks unfortunately we didn't meet any girls. So when entered the concert hall, we left our clothes in the wardrobe, where the beautiful Latvian girls were working. So I chose one girl and congratulated her with the 8 of March, and gave her the chocolate.

And the project can start

The feeling of the beginning of a new adventure

Hello dears, I'm Jesús and I would like to share with you my arrival moments in Rezekne.

First thing, as maybe you guessed, I had a loooong way from Gran Canaria, Spain (If you don't know where is, don't worry, you can check it on the following map):
My eurotrip to come here: Gran Canaria -->  Stockholm --> Vilnius --> Rezekne
I had to sleep the first night in the Stochkolm's airport, due to I arrived at 23:55 and I had the next flight at 9:00 next day (Well, to be honest, I was watching Game of Throne all the night)

The next morning, I arrived on Vilnius at 11:00. (With a good eye bags by the way) and I spent my first three days discovering this city and the places around, and doing such things as trying to dive in a frozen lake.
Here you have the proof (Lake of Trakai)
And, finally, It was time to travel to Rezekne (4 days after I left my home), so I took a bus from Vilnius at 18:00 (By the way, It was a really fancy bus, even with TV in each seat, I felt like a superstar or a rich people, of course I'm not 😞)
I arrived on Rezekne after 4 hours in the bus, and something that I didn't expect happened. Amazing people of my organization was waiting for me. They picked me up in the bus station, and they were preparing an amazing welcome in my new home, with delicious food, and some traditional latvian candies (and some balsam of course)

So, once again, I want to say you, guys, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this amazing welcome, YOU'RE AMAZING.

We've already spent some good moments during this week, and we'll share it in this blog soon!!
